I could think of a million different quips regarding this 'rapture' nonsense, and the lack of it. But I will spare you and my few, approved twitter followers, even if this is probably the only time such a topic will ever arise in the foreseeable future. Though I do enjoy reading the hilarious tweets other people have come up with, as Twitter users have been going crazy over this. But then you get some people who seem to genuinely believe that there will be a rapture! I am resisting the urge to blab on about my viewpoints on religion, life and how other people shouldn't live it, but I am too tired to dive into that sink-hole. I feel like I'm treading on hot coals as it is.

Weird Dream
Was at a sort-of amusement park in my dream last night. There was a game where you could shoot live orcs with guns. After going a second time and seeing some girls dressed up as elves, I took a peek in some rooms where the people who worked there got ready. Found a weird, long ginger wig for dressing up as an elf. Then I was basically kidnapped and made to dress up as an elf, though the other girls were whispering amongst themselves, saying I wasn't pretty enough! Next thing I was trying to escape with a boy, and we were both dressed in protective csi suits. Weird.

The Hobbit - Start of Production
Peter Jackson is keeping all of his and Tolkien's fans up to date with the production of his two part film adaptation of The Hobbit on his own Facebook page. His updates started with announcing the beginning of production back in March. In other 'notes' he has discussed shooting the film at 48 frames per second, casting news and has given fans the chance to submit questions for him, 20 of which he will answer. He has also put up a few pictures, but what is most exciting is the ten minute video blog... which I won't spoil for you! I admit, I was a little more than excited; I had the biggest grin on my face and felt all warm and fuzzy inside while watching it! Having a behind the scenes, during-production tour from the director is more than any dedicated fan could ask for, and we (the fans) greatly appreciate it! He doesn't give too much away and will be releasing another video in the future...

Get Well Soon P.J.!
From The Press Association:
"Lord of the Rings director Sir Peter Jackson is in stable condition in the intensive care unit of Wellington Hospital after undergoing surgery for a perforated ulcer.
Publicist Melissa Booth said that Sir Peter was "doing well" but would be in the hospital for at least a few more days.
She said doctors expected Sir Peter to make a full recovery.
Sir Peter was admitted to Wellington Hospital last Wednesday after complaining of acute stomach pains.
His illness has delayed the start of filming of The Hobbit, the two-part prequel to his Academy Award-winning Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Production of The Hobbit had previously been troubled by financial issues and the departure of its initial director Guillermo del Toro."

Given in to temptation.
I couldn't go 10 days without blogging, like I promised myself. I managed to go almost 3 weeks without a computer (when I was on holiday) before, but the temptation was too much!
I almost caved when I first heard about the recent casting news of Batman 3 (will be posting a blog on that soon!)
At least I can say that I haven't played a single computer game in, what, 2 months?
My Metroid: Other M from x-mas is still in it's packaging!
But after tomorrow, I am going to binge on fun!
I plan to: -
I think I deserve some fun, seeing as I've been feeling a little down recently.
Right - back to work. TTFN.

I plan to: -
Watch 'Tangled' in 3D in the cinema, as it comes out on the 28th!- Watch Eclipse (another unused, but dearly loved x-mas present). I may even have a marathon of the Twilight films.
- Take my dog for a really long walk in the countryside.
- Play Metroid, and other computer games, to my heart's content! (I hope to be spending many hours collecting each piece of the story hidden in Metroid!)
- Oh yeah, I'm also supposed to be making plans with a friend to go out sometime. Hmm.
I think I deserve some fun, seeing as I've been feeling a little down recently.
Right - back to work. TTFN.

Thought I'd just link you to these awesome sites, for your browsing pleasure:
These contain all the kit you'd need to make your dream of becoming a knight come true.

Some seriously awesome gear...
*It goes without saying that these are for role playing/dressing up/decorative/display/showing off purposes only!*

Born of Hope - Full Movie
Born of Hope is an excellent fan made film from Independent Online Cinema - a must see for any Lord of the Rings fan. It's free to watch and fully uploaded onto YouTube.
They have also made The Hunt for Gollum - another brilliant fan made LotR prequel. (Which I previously posted)
Don't forget to watch it in HD!
Enjoy!
A scattered people, the descendants of storied sea kings of the ancient West, struggle to survive in a lonely wilderness as a dark force relentlessly bends its will toward their destruction. Yet amidst these valiant, desperate people, hope remains. A royal house endures unbroken from father to son.
This 70 minute original drama is set in the time before the War of the Ring and tells the story of the Dúnedain, the Rangers of the North, before the return of the King. Inspired by only a couple of paragraphs written by Tolkien in the appendices of the Lord of the Rings we follow Arathorn and Gilraen, the parents of Aragorn, from their first meeting through a turbulent time in their people's history.

Award winning unofficial prequel to The Lord Of The Rings dramatising Aragorn & Gandalf's long search for Gollum. This 40 minute film, made by fans for fans is based on the appendices of LOTR and was painstakingly shot on a low budget as a homage to Peter Jackson's trilogy and the writing of J.R.R. Tolkien.
Costing less than $5,000 to make, with a team of volunteers, Independent Online Cinema are proud to have brought Middle-earth to the screen once more. We hope you enjoy The Hunt For Gollum as much as we enjoyed making it.

A not so tall tale.
I'm too tall to be a Hobbit. :( I never thought I'd be too tall for anything!
According to theonering.net, casting auditions for short/ tall people (to act as doubles in widescreen shots, not as extras) have taken place in New Zealand today.

The Road...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began,
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many path and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Now far ahead the Road has gone,

Where many path and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.
- The Old Walking Song sung by Bilbo Baggins
And darkness falls once again...
I watched 'The One Show' the other day (a rare occurrence), and they were talking about keeping diaries. Like most people, I attempted to keep a diary, but usually gave up by the end of the week. The only reason I ever wrote down my thoughts
The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
'According to THR... Anne Hathaway, Keira Knightley, Jessica Biel, Kate Mara, and Charlotte Riley are all testing for two big female roles in the film - one is a villain, and the other is a potential love interest. One of the characters is suspected to be “Talia, the daughter of villain Ra’s Al Ghul, who was portrayed by Liam Neeson in Nolan’s first Gotham-set crime pic Batman Begins. In the comic books, Talia is both Batman’s lover and antagonist, ultimately siring his alter ego Bruce Wayne’s son.”'

Pippin's song
Home is behind
The world ahead
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadow
To the edge of night
Until the stars are all alight
Mist and shadow
Cloud and shade
All shall fade
All shall fade

The Hobbit 2012
This book will always be remembered as my childhood favourite. All of the characters and monsters were enchanting. I even dressed up as Gandalf for 'Book Day' when I was little because of it, despite being a girl (the beard I made was incredibly itchy though).
I've also seen it performed on stage which was wonderful.
And now it's being made into a two part film. Will be following every development.
"All I had to decide was what to do with the time that is given me." - Ian McKellen on joining The Hobbit as Gandalf.
